Fellowship Accelerator Program
UQ Centre for Community Health and Wellbeing Fellowship Pathway Program
Supporting researchers of excellence to study community health and wellbeing with us.
Rationale
Our Centre recognises the careful consideration required to decide where to undertake Fellowship research. The Fellowship Pathway Program provides support to visit our Centre in Springfield, Queensland, observe our team dynamic and structure and experience our team culture. You can use the experience to consider the prospect of a research fellowship at the Centre for Community Health and Wellbeing.
Details
The minimum duration of time in the Centre is 1 day and the maximum duration is 1 week. Each recipient will be provided with:
- Return airfares and accommodation for the duration of your stay with us;
- UQ Springfield desk space with computer monitors and printing facilities;
- Half-day strategic planning workshop to identify fellowship sources and develop compelling research ideas that align with your strengths and our expertise and opportunities.
Expectations
You should be prepared to discuss your fellowship project ideas that draw on the expertise of the team and are likely to be competitive at national or state based fellowship programs. You will be expected to contribute actively to the intellectual life of the Centre.
This could involve giving a guest seminar or lecture to our team and industry stakeholders, participating in meetings or panel discussions with community members or collaborators, serving as a commentator for a paper, meeting with PhD candidates and early career researchers.
Application details
- A cover letter that outlines why you are interested in considering your future research at the Centre, and your readiness for fellowship applications.
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum 4 pages)
- Prior to submitting an application, please discuss your intended visit with Prof Lauren Ball, lauren.ball@uq.edu.au.
